Where am I Going?!

Universität Kassel is located in Kassel, Germany.

In my introductory letter from my advisor, I was given this description of Kassel:

Kassel lies directly in the middle of Germany and has a population of nearly 200,000 people. On the map you can find Kassel between the city of Hannover in the north and Frankfurt/Main towards the south of Germany. The Brothers Grimm lived in our city and it is here that they collected and compiled their fairy tales. The world renown art exhibit, the "Documenta" takes place every five years in our city. In the midst of a beautiful hilly countryside, Kassel lies nestled in a valley directly on the River Fulda. Kassel actually has a pleasant four-season climate. In the summer it is warm, but seldom hot, with temperatures varying from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. The temperatures in the winter seldom go below 0 degrees Celsius.

I am very excited for this opportunity to spend 10 months in Kassel, where I will study Germanistik (the study of German language and literature). I will be taking courses to improve my command of the German language, as well as learning more about the culture of Germany with other international students.

Here is a link to the accommodations I will have while staying in Germany: Europahaus in Kassel.
